Lake Safety Reminder
CLIA has posted signs at the DNR public boat launch which reinforce specific lake rules, like traffic pattern, on our lake. In May 2020 we added two association members as volunteers to provide a marine safety presence to help provide a safer lake. They will liaison with the Clare County Sheriff’s Department Marine Patrol to improve observation and enforcement. More recently we have partnered with the Resort and are working with other rental locations to help educate lake visitors on lake safety rules. Our Marine contacts are:
Dennis McDermott
Tony Ottino
Boating Safety Laws, Rules and Regulations for the State of Michigan
Crooked Lake maintains a counter clockwise flow for boaters traveling around the lake. This ensures a safer, more consistent travel pattern especially on busy days. Please be respectful of others and to the best of your abilities follow our traffic pattern around the lake. Lake rules have been posted at the DNR Boat Launch and offered to resort guests.
